Modus Engineering is currently looking for Medior/Senior and Lead Engineers for one of the biggest shipbuilders in the Netherlands.
Modus Engineering assists you with the following:
– Finding a house in The Netherlands;
– Taking out insurance policies;
– Apply for the 30% ruling: Focus Engineering will apply on your behalf for the 30% ruling, which is a tax benefit you will receive as a skilled knowledge migrant. This means you will not pay any tax over the first 30% of your income in the Netherlands.
Requirements:
– You must be willing to relocate to the Netherlands;
– You need to have working experience in the Maritime / Offshore / Shipbuilding industry;
– You need to have an EU passport.
Our client is one of the biggest shipbuilding companies in the world. This company has over 10,000 professionals and almost 100 years of knowledge and experience in naval shipbuilding. They invest in the most sustainable, advanced and cutting-edge technologies in automation, electrical, mechanical engineering, combat systems, radar and navigation systems.
The multi-billion projects you will work on, are among of the most challenging projects in the world due to the size, advanced technology and systems. The project duration is between two and five years, and you will be working in a big multidisciplinary engineering team.
The Job:
– You work on large new construction projects within the maritime sector;
– You supervise the preparation of functional and technical specifications based on design requirements;
– Acquisition and assessment of technical information and documentation from suppliers, such as mechanical drawings, diagrams, calculations, electrical diagrams, etc.;
– In these positions, you will not carry out Detail Engineering yourself, but you will have an important role in the Basic Engineering phase (drafting functional and/or technical specifications) and you will then manage the subcontractors during the implementation;
– Performing necessary technical calculations to validate the design;
– Providing technical support for commissioning work.
– BSc or MSc within Mechanical Engineering/Engineering;
– At least five years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering;
– Experience with writing these “Specs” is a must;
– Experience within the maritime sector or offshore is a great advantage;
– You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams and enjoy contact with customers and subcontractors;
– You are willing to work abroad;
– Good command of the English language (written & oral).
– Salary up to EUR 75,000 gross per year;
– 38 paid holidays per year;
– The possibility of working 2 days from home;
